Discover Kakadu’s dry season fishing at its best with our guided Barramundi tours. Located just upstream of the renowned Cahill Crossing, this section of the East Alligator River offers the rare opportunity to target both freshwater and saltwater Barra—where our record catch measured an impressive 135 cm. Set beside the striking Arnhem Land Escarpment, the river delivers not only great
fishing but unforgettable scenery. Expect to share the water with Kakadu’s resident Saltwater Crocodiles and be surrounded by remarkable birdlife as you cast.

Tour Details
You will be picked up from your Jabiru accommodation at either 6am returning 11.30am or 2pm returning 7.30pm. We are the only fishing tour company fishing the beautiful East Alligator River up-stream from the famous ‘Cahill Crossing’. This area offers the chance to catch both fresh water and the more prized salt water Barramundi. Our largest 135cm Barra was landed here. Our half day tours target the best fishing times being early morning and late arvo where the ‘Barra’ often fire up. The upstream side of the East Alligator is also arguably one of the most scenic rivers in the Top End as it borders the magnificent Arnhem Land Escarpment. Whilst landing a ‘Barra’ is always the priority you won’t be disappointed with the sites this river offers including the always present Salt Water Crocodiles.
